Petersburg seniors highlight community and connection during 2025 graduation
Crowds were packed into the bleachers of the Petersburg High School gym as teachers, families, and friends proudly watched 37 soon-to-be graduates walk to their seats.

The Petersburg Borough proclaimed June 28 as Amy Hallingstad Day at a borough assembly meeting on May 19. It recognizes the late Petersburg resident as a civil rights leader who advocated for the end of segregation in Alaska’s schools.
