Downtown festivities to follow Little Norway Pageant in high school gym
Celebrations for the Little Norway Festival in Petersburg have been happening all week. But things really get going Thursday evening, May 15. The Little Norway Festival Pageant happens at 5:15 p.m. inside the Petersburg High School gym. That’s a different location than years past on Main Street.
Mayfest mayhem arrives in Alaska’s Little Norway
Celebrations are already underway in “Alaska’s Little Norway.” Every year, hundreds of people flock to Petersburg for the Southeast island town’s iconic Little Norway Festival. There’s a lot to experience throughout the week.
April showers bring record rainfall in Petersburg
Last month was the second wettest April on record for Petersburg. Nearly double the amount of water fell from the sky than what’s typical, and one day broke its own record.
